Kirkintilloch Golf Club lies on Campsie Road in East Dunbartonshire, north of Glasgow. The club's nine-hole course was designed by James Braid and opened in 1895, playing to a par of 70. Braid's involvement marks the layout as a product of the Scottish golf boom's golden age, when the legendary architect shaped dozens of courses across the country.
