Hayston Golf Club

Glasgow · East Dunbartonshire · G66 1RN

Scotland

Hayston Golf Club lies on the outskirts of Glasgow in East Dunbartonshire, where James Braid's 18-hole parkland course has stood since 1946. The Main Course plays to a par of 70, offering a compact layout that reflects Braid's design philosophy from the mid-twentieth century. The club's position on Campsie Road gives it reasonable proximity to Glasgow's northern suburbs whilst maintaining a more rural character typical of courses in the area.

Braid's parkland design here avoids the length-heavy approach of his earlier championship layouts, making the course accessible to a broad membership base. The 70 par and eighteen holes remain the bones of play today, with the setting among the rolling terrain of East Dunbartonshire providing the natural framework for the routing.
