Hole-by-Hole Guide
Grantown-on-Spey is an 18-hole parkland course in the Cairngorms National Park, around 35 miles south-east of Inverness. Formed in 1890, it measures 5,710 yards to a par of 70 (SSS 68) and, though not long, offers a fair challenge for every standard. The layout splits naturally into three sections: flat parkland over holes 1-6, moderately hilly woodland through 7-12, and undulating parkland from 13-18. The signature hole is Murdie's View, the short downhill par-4 9th framed by pine trees and the Cromdale Hills, with the Cairngorm range in view across much of the round
