The Royal Burgess Golfing Society of Edinburgh

Edinburgh · City of Edinburgh · EH4 6BU

Scotland

The Royal Burgess Golfing Society of Edinburgh claims the distinction of being Scotland's oldest golf club, founded in 1735. Located in the north of Edinburgh, the 18-hole parkland course plays to a par of 71. The club's longevity is itself a notable feature of Scottish golf history, though records of the original course layout and subsequent redesigns are sparse in the historical record.

The present course occupies its Whitehouse Road location and continues to serve members and visitors seeking a traditional Edinburgh golfing experience. As one of the capital's established clubs, it remains active in the city's competitive and social golf calendar.
