St Andrews Links

St Andrews · Fife · KY16 9SF

Scotland

St Andrews Links in Fife is home to seven courses across the Scottish links landscape. The Old Course, dating to 1552 with input from Tom Morris, remains the most famous—an 18-hole, par-72 links that has hosted The Open Championship numerous times and shaped the modern game. The New Course, opened in 1895 and also designed by Tom Morris, is an 18-hole, par-71 links alongside the original. St Andrews also operates the Balgove, Craigtoun, Eden, Jubilee, and Strathtyrum courses, offering access across a range of handicaps and preferences.

The Links Trust manages all courses, maintaining the identity that has made St Andrews a centre of golf worldwide. Players seeking rounds on the Old or New Course typically enter a ballot system; the other layouts provide alternative opportunities to experience links golf in the town where the sport took formal shape.
