Muirfield is an 18-hole links course in East Lothian, close to the Firth of Forth and within easy reach of Edinburgh. The course plays to a par of 71 and has hosted nine Open Championships, most recently in 2013. It remains one of the most demanding venues in British golf, with deep bunkers, tight fairways, and demanding greens that consistently test the game's best players. The layout changes direction throughout each nine, a strategic feature that adds complexity to wind management across the round.

The club has long been recognised among the elite championship venues of the UK and continues to attract members from across Scotland and beyond. Its East Lothian location places it at the heart of a region rich in golfing tradition, neighboured by other strong clubs in the same corridor.
