Eltham Warren Golf Club occupies parkland in south-east London, on Bexley Road in Eltham. The 9-hole course was designed by James Braid and opened in 1890, playing to a par of 34. Braid's design work established him as one of Scotland's most prolific course architects—he went on to win five Open Championships and shape dozens of courses across Britain. This early commission at Eltham Warren predates his greatest renown by several years.
The club remains a fixture in Greater London's golfing landscape, offering a more compact round than the region's 18-hole venues. Its age and Braid's involvement lend the course historical significance within London golf, though records of subsequent alterations or developments are limited.
