Brittas Bay Club

Brittas Bay · County Wicklow · A67 EF62

Ireland

Brittas Bay Club (formerly The European Club) sits on the Wicklow coast near Brittas Bay, in the southeast of Ireland. The original Pat Ruddy–designed course opened in 1987 across a largely undeveloped stretch of dunes and grassland. The club closed for major redevelopment in December 2025 and is expected to reopen around late spring 2027 under the Brittas Bay Club brand.

Ruddy's design emphasised strategic placement over length, with greens often angled to penalise poor approach shots. The club hosted qualifying events for major championships and was long a focal point for links golf in Ireland.
